Use of Whereby
I use „Whereby“ to conduct telephone conferences, online meetings, online workshops or seminars and/or video conferences or webinars (Online Meetings). Whereby is a service of Video Communication Services AS, Gate 1 no. 101, 6700 Måløy, Norway, with which I have entered into a data processing agreement, to ensure proper protection of data.
Pursuant to its own statements, Whereby fully applies the GDPR; for further information please refer to the privacy terms of Whereby (which are exclusively available in English; whereby.com/information/tos/privacy-policy/).
When using Whereby, various types of data are processed. the scope of data also depends on which data you submit or during your participation in an Online Meeting.
In the course of preparing, registration for and participating in an Online Meeting the following data are obtained and stored by Whereby: email address, first name, last name, date and time of registration, IP-address, language and time zone. In addition any data eventually made available by you via the chat function and usage data resulting from registration for and participation in an Online Meeting.
Data transmitted in the course of Online Meetings via the chat function or via video/audio will only be recorded and stored after prior information.
Legal basis for data processing in the context of Online Meetings is Art. 6 Para 1 lit. b) GDPR, to the extent the Online Meetings are conducted as part of a contractual relationship with yourself.
If no contractual relationship exists or only with e.g. your employer, legal basis is Art. 6 Para 1 lit. f) GDPR and my interests in the effective implementation of Online Meetings.
Personal data processed in the context of participation in an Online Meeting are not passed on to third parties, unless they are intended to be passed on. Please note that content of Online Meetings similar to personal discussions often is intended to communicate information to customers, interested parties or others and are, correspondingly, intended to be passed on. The business offering Whereby by default receives knowledge of such data, to the extent this is provided for in my data processing agreement with Whereby.
