Maybe the situation is unfair. Or stupid. Or wrong.<\/p>

Actually, that’s almost certain. It practically always is. And yes, it’s also asymmetrical, it’s neither the same kind nor the same amount of unfair, stupid or wrong for everyone. It practically never is.<\/p>

Can we agree that it would be so much better if things were fair, smart and right, instead? And evenly spread?<\/p>

Great, that’s out of the way now.<\/p>

Because almost certainly it will take longer for things to get better than we are willing (or able) to wait with our next action.<\/p>

Which means that it’s far more practical to move forward, to do something, than to insist on all the things that should be different.\u00a0<\/p>

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for fairness, intelligence and all the other good things.\u00a0<\/p>

But waiting for it to happen (and being all stressed out about it while waiting) doesn’t sound like a helpful way to move things in the right direction.<\/p>

Taking the next (maybe the first?) step does. And then the one after that.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This is as much a „note to self“ as anything else.<\/p>

All the shouting out there is getting boring. Very little has ever changed through shouting, bitching and moaning. No matter how righteous or justified it might be.\u00a0<\/p>

Don’t get me wrong, I get it. I’ve had (and continue to have) my fair share of bitching and moaning. It sure feels good to vent sometimes. But I’m yet to see it have any positive effect beyond some very short-lived relief.<\/p>

Both in the personal and professional parts of my life I want to focus narrower and narrower on what works instead. On what actually moves the needle.<\/p>

Which seems to be about the only thing that really matters. And the only way things might actually get better, whatever one’s own personal „better“ is.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
